Marianne Graninger, assistant physician at the Center for Virology at the Medical University of Vienna, was awarded the Abbott Award 2023 of the European Society of Clinical Virology (ESCV). The annual Abbott Award is presented to an internationally aspiring scientist in the field of clinical virology. Marianne Graninger was selected as this year's awardee due to her research activities in the field of neurovirology, particularly the identification of risk factors for the development of neurological complications due to viral infections.
